Chevrolet pickup build
1953 3100 & 3600 Chevrolet Pickup Projects
Many of our volunteer veterans are car people and have a great deal of experience in automotive care and restoration. They are using their experience to engage PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) veterans by restoring two donated1953 Chevrolet Pickups.
This project will take approximately two years. The project will help many veterans deal with their PTSD by working with veterans that suffer from PTSD but have more experience managing the condition day to day.
These two restorations are hands on and frame up. This means we are completely disassembling the trucks then rebuilding them from the frame up. When complete, these vintage pickups will help promote Love Your Vets.
The 3600 3/4 ton pickup will be the towing vechicle, towing a car hauler with the 3100 1/2 ton pickup on top.More

Car Club Give Hot Rod Rides to Veterans
Many of our Veterans own a hot rod or vintage vehicle and are members of local car clubs or car cruises.
Most of our veterans have never experienced the thrill of riding in a vintage car or hot rod. We coordinate hot rod rides for veterans with car owners. These hot rod rides take place as part of a regularly scheduled activity of the different clubs and car cruises at annual car show events.More
